Life cycle assessment is a method which can be used to assess the climate and environmental impacts associated with a product throughout its life cycle – from extraction of resources to recycling or disposal. You can learn the principles of life cycle assessment and how to make simple product assessments and get concrete methodological tools for the assessment.

Interpreting results

You can also acquire the skills to interpret the results of published life cycle assessments of biological production systems such as crop production, animal, aquaculture, bioenergy or fermentation production systems. You will learn how to apply life cycle assessment in combination with cost benefit analyses and to discuss their implications.
