Kim L. Johansen is Master Brewer at Department of Food Science, University of Copenhagen. Kim is chemical engineer by training and has the Diploma in Brewing from the British Institute of Brewing & Distilling (IBD) as well as Diploma in Distilling also from IBD. Kim is course responsible for all the brewing specific courses on the master specialisation Brewing Science and Technology. He is also responsible for the departments pilot brewery.

Kim L. Johansen has been fermentation chemist at Danish Fermentation Industries and brewing engineer in the consultant companies Alfred Jørgensen Laboratory, Danbrew and Alectia. He has produced cider as owner of Pomona cider, but today only a small production of apple brandy remains in cooperation with a distillery. He has been teaching beer brewing, cider making and soft drinks production at the Scandinavian School of Brewing as Training Manager and later as Director. Hereunder, he has been teaching as external Associate Professor at Department of Food Science.
