Help find sustainable solutions

Today, there are almost no limits to what biotechnology can be used for. The development has accelerated since the DNA technology paved the way for completely new opportunities in the 1970s.

Get updated on the latest research and learn how the biggest societal challenges of our time can be addressed with biotechnological solutions.

Biotechnology to diagnose plant diseases, for health and for applying new technology

Regardless of whether you work with development or research in the medical or food industry, energy or health sector etc., you can get updated on molecular and cell-biological laboratory techniques. For example, you can be equipped to use the latest research infrastructure within high-quality X-rays at MAX IV or neutron scattering at ESS.

Customised courses

Are you looking for a course on biotechnology that matches the needs of your company or organisation?

Courses can be customised and organised to enhance your employees’ skills within a specific area of your interest and that matches your reality.

Course Level Start date Duration
Application of X-ray and Neutron Scattering in Biology, Chemistry and Physics
The overall goal of this course is to make students aware of the potential of the large-scale MAX-VI and ESS facilities within their own research. The students will, for example, be introduced by top experts to scattering methods, including diffraction, small angle scattering, imaging, and inelastic neutron scattering. Part of UCPH International Summer Programme.
Master July 3 weeks
Protein Structure and Function in Biomedicine and Sustainable Biotechnology
The aim of this course is to guide students who already have a basic knowledge of protein chemistry, through more advanced aspects of protein science based on critical reading of original literature, with themes like the role of proteins in disease and proteins as biotechnological tools for sustainable industrial applications. Part of UCPH International Summer Programme.
Master August 1 week
Diagnosis of Diseases of Agricultural and Horticultural Plants
The course will introduce commonly occurring plant diseases in agriculture, horticulture and orchards etc. Hands-on experience with classical and web-based methods used in identifying causal organisms and diagnosing the diseases will be given. Part of UCPH International Summer Programme.
Bachelor July 2 weeks
