Hands-on courses
With veterinary specialist courses in the field of companion animals, you and your clinic will be able to provide your patients with treatment based on the newest research and technology as well as best practice in that specific area.
The courses and programmes are structured around the concrete challenges veterinary professionals face in their work life and use practical workshops and case-based training as a foundational part of the training. You will receive training in applied and advanced clinical methodology, assessing paraclinical tests, clinical decision-making, treatment and prognostication based on the newest evidence available. You are able to specialise in internal medicine, neurology, oncology, cardiology, dermatology, ophthalmology, or odontology.
Certified training to support your specialisation
The UCPH Vetschool prioritizes that their courses and programmes are accredited and can be an integral part of your specialist training. All training is carried out in smaller groups, and you will be instructed by internationally and nationally recognized diplomats and specialists.
The Danish Certificate in Small Animal Diseases may be acquired through completion of the basic courses of the internal medicine track. Other selected courses on Master of Companion Animal Clinical Science have also been preapproved by the Swedish and Norwegian Veterinary Associations. Additionally, several of the courses have obtained a VetCEE accreditation from the European Coordinating Committee on Veterinary Training (ECCVT).
