Copenhagen Summer University opened in 2010 as a cross-disciplinary offer of continuing education at the University of Copenhagen. Since then, the summer school has gathered professionals from all over the world in August of every year.

In 2019, for example, participants from 28 countries signed up, which created a particularly good atmosphere where everyone could grow their professional network, both nationally and internationally.

A big thank you. It was solid research knowledge conveyed in an easy and understandable manner. Also, the pedagogical level was high, which is not always the case at universities. I can without a doubt use the link between theory and practice to improve my task performance at the office.

Clemens Ø. Etzerodt, Consultant at Danish Regions, about the course The Danish Model, 2019

What participants said about the courses at Copenhagen Summer University

Many thanks for a really good course! It may take a while before I’ve digested everything [...], it has been really good to get the proper knowledge to convey messages and to work with the subject in practice. And it was a great pleasure to hear experts communicating their knowledge. It makes a huge difference!

Course participant on UN 17 Sustainable Development Goals, 2019

The course has given me a much better understanding of the many different aspects and approaches to crime prevention work. I've been given a lot of input on what I can do in my everyday work, for example what I should be more cautious about.

Peter Flannum-Larsen, Police Commissioner at South Zealand and Lolland-Falster Police, about the course Crime Prevention – Evidence-Based Prevention of Risk Behaviour, 2018

A huge thank you to all the very friendly people who were there to help on arrival and during the course.
